Information Management

Quasars works with the biomedical and health sciences communities to provide innovative and enhanced information management technologies to support medical research to improve the health of citizens. We leverage our institutional knowledge to develop, operate and maintain IT systems including software, processes and procedures that support government clinical and research activities. The objective is to directly support researchers and clinicians by performing health care systems studies and providing operational, technical and maintenance services for systems, subsystems and equipment that interface with and are extensions to information systems.

Regulatory Compliance: HIPPA and Section 508

HIPPA: Quasars has a deep appreciation for information and data security both internal to its day-to-day operations as well as for its clients. This experience is directly applicable to the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPPA) Security Rule as it relates to "electronic protected health information" (e-PHI) integrity, control, and disposition. This includes:

Section 508: Our systems and solutions are designed with the end-user in mind. We have an experienced team of software developers and testers. We utilize state of the art custom tools and COTS applications to ensure that new and deployed systems are fully accessible to end-users.
